Our Library Service and Customer Contact teams have been recognised as 'communication accessible*' by Two Way Street.
This means that if you visit our Civic Centre or Hamra Centre Library, you can find someone who can assist you if you have communication needs.
During 2024, our staff worked with Two Way Street to assess our customer facing communication skills, undertake staff training and develop tailored tools to help us create an environment that is more accessible and inclusive in regard to communication. These tools include communication booklets, which can be found at both the Civic Centre and Hamra Centre Library, along with staff lanyards at our library which identify which staff can assist with communication needs.
