These sessions provide the perfect opportunity to inspect our venues, take measurements, and even test your AV equipment. Just remember to bring your device and cables. Conditions

  • We do not take any tentative bookings.
  • To make a booking you must be more than 18 years of age.
  • Please provide us with 2 weeks advance notice when requesting a booking date.

Schedule an orientation appointment

Confirmed hirers are invited to join our in-person, staff-guided Onsite Equipment Demonstration where you'll gain hands-on experience using the facility and equipment.

This comprehensive walkthrough provides detailed guidance on equipment location and operation, making it ideal for those who prefer hands-on learning. To ensure you're fully prepared for your booking, a Key Handover is also included in this session, which is where we provide your facility keys.

Costs

Prices for hiring the Centre vary. You may also be required to pay a refundable bond depending on your event.

Please note: All hires from 5pm Friday until 8am Monday are considered private hire and the appropriate fee will apply. Requests to waive fees will not be considered.

Photographic and video permission

In order to help us provide more comprehensive hiring information about the Centre to our community and clients, we'd like permission to photograph and/or video room set ups as examples. Some of these photographs will be provided to others hiring the facility; other photographs/footage may appear on the Thebarton Community Centre hiring section of Council's website and social media sites.

Request to change an existing booking or cancel a date

Catering

Take the hassle out of your next meeting by booking one of our catering packages. 

There are three catering packages to choose from:

  1. Fresh catering package
  2. Self-service catering package
  3. Nespresso machine catering package

Complete the catering package order form to secure your catering booking.

Please note: bookings for tea and coffee service must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the required booking date and payment should always be made in advance.

You can also choose your own caterer or do your own catering.

If you are a regular hirer of the centre you will need to have public liability insurance to the minimum value of $20 million.
