Road closure, Birdwood Terrace

Birdwood Terrace, North Plympton, will be closed to through traffic until end of August 2025 to enable the Brown Hill Keswick Creek Stormwater Project to continue upgrade works of Brown Hill Creek.

The road bridge over the creek at Birdwood Terrace will be replaced; some advanced works for this project within the vicinity have been occurring during the past few weeks. Users of West Side Bikeway will also be affected as the existing shared pathway is located on the existing bridge. 

Traffic detours

• Traffic heading south will be detoured via Talbot Avenue to Marion Road. 
• Traffic heading north will be detoured via Oval Terrace and Daly Street.
• A temporary pedestrian bridge over the creek, east of Birdwood Terrace, will be erected for West Side Bikeway users.
