The City of West Torrens is hosting a community event for its Native Plant Giveaway and Shady Tree Giveaway on Saturday 24 May 2025 at the West Torrens Auditorium, 1 Brooker Terrace Hilton.

We are giving away native plants to residents to help make our suburbs greener and more climate resilient.

Each pack of plants contains 10 native seedlings that will bring colour and life to any garden. Trees for Life at Brooklyn Park has been busy propagating and caring for the 5,000 seedlings that will be distributed as part of a community event.

Giveaway plants include native violet (Hardenbergia violacea) with stunning pollen-rich purple flowers, and ornamental correas with delicate flowers that native birds just love.

Plant packs are limited, and participants must meet the terms and conditions on the voucher.

Claim your pack in 3 easy steps:

  1. Download the Native Plant Giveaway voucher(PDF, 90KB).
  2. Check you meet all the eligibility criteria, then print out and complete your details on the voucher (printed copies will also be available at the event).
  3. Bring the completed voucher along with proof of residency/tenancy to the community event on Saturday 24 May 2025 between 10am and 1pm. The event will be held in the West Torrens Auditorium, 1 Brooker Terrace Hilton.
