Linear Park pathway closure

A section of the River Torrens shared path will be closed to the community for the next few months while we undertake much-needed construction works.
The section affected, between Riverway and Henley Beach Road, will be closed between June and September 2024 (weather dependent), however detour signs will be in place.
The shared path along the River Torrens is a much-used space and, from time to time, requires maintenance and upgrading.
The main purpose of this closure is so that we can upgrade the width of the path from 3 metres to 3.5 metres, thereby making it safer and more accessible for users.
During construction we will be:
- removing the existing shared pathway
- installing a new 3.5 metre wide pathway
- constructing new retaining walls and barrier fences
- installing new street furniture and new line marking
- general landscaping and earthworks.
We apologise in advance for inconvenience and look forward to the path being reopened in time for Spring.
