Fabulous fabrics - vintage style
Published on 10 February 2025
Do you have some beautiful, fun, interesting and/or colourful vintage fabric stashed away in the back of a cupboard that is just waiting to be seen again?
We'd love to have it and give it a second lease of life.
To celebrate History Festival in May this year, we're creating vintage fabric bunting to brighten the entrance to the Hamra Centre Library. As such, we're looking for donations of fabrics from the 1930s through to the 1980s to help us with this creative project.
Examples of fabrics that could be used include:
- tablecloths
- tea towels
- patterned bed sheets/pillowcases
- aprons
- clothing.
If you have any vintage fabrics that you'd like to donate, you can drop them off to the Hamra Centre Library and place in a bag marked 'Vintage Fabric Bunting' by the end of March.
