Are you having difficulty getting to the either the Hamra Centre Library or the Mobile Library? Whether it's due to illness, disability, frailty, or for any other reason, we offer a service that can help.

We can select a variety of materials from the Library's collections and deliver them directly to your door for free.

These deliveries can be regular or on a temporary basis.

We can also arrange delivery to retirement villages, nursing homes and childcare centres.

What we offer:

  • books and large print
  • DVDs including films, TV series, documentaries and world movies
  • audio books
  • jigsaws and board games
  • magazines
  • CD player for listening to audio books
  • materials from the independent living collection
  • items in variety of community languages.

Customers who wish to select items themselves can use the Library catalogue or the LibrariesSA app to reserve items and have them sent to the Hamra Centre Library. When items arrive, they are checked out to the customer and delivered on the next scheduled delivery date. 

If you are mobile and willing but don’t have transport we also have a Library pick up service. The pick up service is ideal for people who are house bound or have difficulty with public transport.
