Are you a carer? A carer is someone who provides personal care, support and/or assistance to family or friends who live with:

  • disability
  • mental illness
  • dementia
  • chronic health condition
  • terminal illness
  • an alcohol or drug related problem, or
  • someone who is frail due to age.

People become carers in different ways: sometimes they start helping someone bit by bit; sometimes it happens suddenly, because of an accident or illness. Carers can be any age - parents, grandparents, partners, siblings, children, friends and neighbours may all take on a caring role at some point in life. Carers SA also provides carer services to young carers aged 5-25 years old.

If this is you, then you are a carer, and this event will help you learn more about how to access the free support services that Carers SA offers. You could also register on the day of the event with Carers SA.

Bookings are essential, one booking per person.

Note: If you are a carer and are unable to attend this session, free support is available via the Carer Gateway on 1800 422 737 or visit carerssa.com.au to begin the online registration process.
