Safe Pets Safe Families

About us: Safe Pets Safe Families help people and pets in crisis to reduce the occurence of pet surrender, animal abuse, neglect and euthanasia. More information available on our website. 

Roles available:

  • Transporting pets and clients to and from foster homes, vets and visits with owners.
  • Dog walking.
  • Case management.
  • Pet Food Bank - packing and delivering food.
  • Pop-up vet clinics.
  • Administration roles.
  • Grant writing/submissions.
  • PR, marketing, social media marketing and more.

Fulham Community Centre

About us: Fulham Community Centre provides programs, workshops, community groups and hire space for all our local community. More information is available on our website.

Roles available:

  • Committee member - preferably with strengths in finance, law, management or marketing. Commitment of 90 minutes per month for meetings (every second Thursday at 7pm). 
  • Playgroup/creche support worker - people who love to work with children - Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday mornings from 9.15am - 1pm.
  • Garden support - people to help water our community garden a few times a week and to support our current volunteers. Watering could be undertaken in 30 minutes and times are flexible.

Rotary Club of West Torrens

Want to make a difference in your community?

If you are interested in joining a group of like-minded people in helping others, the Rotary Club of West Torrens could be just the place for you!

New members are always welcome at our meetings and if you give us a call, we will be happy to talk you through everything, answer any questions and provide additional information.

About us:

Rotary aims to make a difference to communities at local, national and international level by providing services and assistance to the disadvantaged in society. Members also contribute to the outreach program in Timor-Leste and to international programs such as End Polio. More information can be found on our website

Roles available:

While Rotary does not have specific volunteer roles, new members are always welcome as everyone has skills and knowledge which can be utilised to benefit others. We have plenty of fun and accomplish many things including:

  • helping Foodbank on a fortnightly basis
  • undertaking fundraising barbecues
  • marshalling at the Bay to Birdwood event
  • sponsoring local students to Rotary leadership and vocational programs
  • assisting charities and not-for-profit organisations with fundraising.

Roles available:

We're looking for friendly and reliable gate staff and COVID marshalls to volunteer for home games (weekend availability is essential). Responsibilities will include:

  • monitor crowds to ensure patrons are undertaking COVID Safe practices
  • scan member cards and tickets upon entry
  • man entry and exits during the game and hand out pass outs
  • regulate and manage car park entry
  • monitor grandstand capacity.
