COVID SAfe measures at Kings Reserve

We have a duty of care to provide a safe environment for everyone involved in our Summer Festival and to do all that is necessary to restrict the spread of COVID-19 and protect the vulnerable in our community.

All patrons 12 and over who attend a Summer Festival event at Kings Reserve must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and be able to show proof of vaccination to gain entry, unless they have a valid Medical Exemption.

On arrival, you’ll first need to check-in to Kings Reserve using the South Australian Government’s official COVID SAfe Check-In process. This involves scanning a QR code, which you’ll find displayed at each entry point to Kings Reserve, and at the entrance to Thebarton Community Centre. You’ll be asked to provide proof of check-in (ie. show the ‘green tick’ on your mobile) before entering the venue. If you don’t have a mobile, our friendly team will direct you to where you can complete a manual check-in form.

You’ll also be asked to show your vaccination certificate on entry. Your vaccination certificate can be linked to your MySA GOV account, or you can download a copy of your certificate to your mobile. Alternatively, you can present a hard copy of your vaccination certificate.

To provide confidence and ensure a safe environment for you, our patrons, and our staff, we have a comprehensive COVID Management Plan in place. Approved by the South Australian Government, our Plan includes the following measures:

  • Increased frequency and intensity of cleaning and disinfecting, with emphasis on high volume areas and touch points
  • Physical distancing protocols, including guest traffic management and safe venue entry
  • COVID Safe food and beverage service
  • Contactless payments where possible
  • Contact tracing protocols
  • COVID related signage across the venue
  • COVID Marshals in attendance at Summer Festival events

After such a disruptive and restrictive period our COVID-SAfe management measures are made in good faith and with concern for our diverse community.

Patrons are required to adhere to the directions issued pursuant to the Emergency Management Act 2004 (SA) which includes any COVID Management Plan, COVID Safe Plan or other requirement of a direction issued under that Act.
