Ian Pilkington’s passion to serve the community was inspired by his own father John Pilkington's long history of community service. Since retiring from employment due to significant health issues, Ian has diligently pursued his new ‘volunteer career’ as an appointed Justice of the Peace and since gaining his official qualifications in 2021, he has dedicated literally hundreds of hours of volunteer service to the community. Beyond his JP duties and through his own personal experience with physical impairment, Ian looks for ways to improve disability access across, and inclusion in, our community.
