Husband and wife team George and Maria have dedicated many years of their time to the Pan Macedonian Federation of SA. The Pan Macedonian Federation comprises 5 societies and brotherhoods and its mission is to promote the educational, cultural, social, patriotic and religious interests of people living in Australia who are of Greek heritage.

George became a member of the Federation in 1981 and held the positon of president for 14 years. He is currently the president of one of the brotherhoods, the Brotherhood of Alexander the Great, the first Macedonian Association to be formed in SA in 1958.

George has also been heavily involved in the Dimitria Greek Festival, a celebration of culture, community and food, by holding the position of secretary.

Maria has dedicated much of her time to the Vergina Hellenic Women's Cultural Society of the Pan Macedonian Association and currently holds the position of General Secretary on the Executive Committee. Vergina was established in 1991 to help bring younger people closer to their cultural heritage and to help raise funds for worthwhile organisations such as the Anti-Cancer Foundation, the Heart Foundation and Mary Potter Hospice.
