Presented to a local community group that has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to the community of West Torrens. Only one Community Group Award may be presented annually.

AAL has undertaken many climate initiatives during the years and in 2018 it secured a platinum award for waste reduction in the Airport Council International - Asia Pacific Green Airports Recognition program. AAL was the first airport in Australia to achieve level three (out of four) in Airport Carbon Accreditation, a worldwide, institutionally-endorsed carbon management certification standard for airports.
