Presented to a local community group that has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to the community of West Torrens. Only one Community Group Award may be presented annually.

GOCSA is a not-for-profit, multi-purpose organisation that has been providing programs and services to members and the general community since 1930. While this organisation is not located in West Torrens, it has provided much needed support and assistance to the West Torrens community and has many members who live in the local area.

Since its establishment almost 90 years ago, GOCSA has developed projects such as Greek language schools, cultural and educational programs, aged care packages, respite programs and operates the Ridleyton Greek Home for the Aged. Members play a role in shaping a more multicultural and democratic Australian society and, recently, they were instrumental in saving the Camden Community Centre from possible closure by purchasing the Centre and continuing with its many valuable community programs and services.
