Presented to a local business that has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to the community of West Torrens.

This iconic eatery on Henley Beach Road, Torrensville, opened its doors in 2009 and is a true family affair. Owned and operated by Zelmai and Farida Ayubi, the business sees Farida as the chef and she prides herself on authentic food flavours of Afghanistan, where her and her husband migrated from in 1987 with their young children..

Bookings at this eatery are essential and the popularity of this restaurant has even been reviewed in the New York Times as 'challenging the tidy and boring categories into which immigrant-run restaurants are so often shunted'.

Parwana donates the BYO fee from their restaurants (they now have three locations) to helping feed homeless people and supports numerous humanitarian causes.
