Community Event of the Year Award 2018
Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival
Presented to a person/group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the past year.
The Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival is Adelaide’s largest Japanese festival with a 22 year history. It’s an annual celebration of the cultural and social links between the people of Japan and Australia and each year is attended by thousands of people.
Traditionally held at Cowandilla Primary School, the Festival relocated to Kings Reserve in 2017 and is positioned to expand even further in coming years. The Festival is organised by the Japan Australia Friendship Association.
